I'm trying to decide which exhaust is the best sounding with little to no drone. My search has been narrowed down to the Borla Stinger, B&B tri-flo route 66, or the corsa touring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have the Borla quad tip Stinger. It sounds awesome. Of your choices above, I believe this would be the loudest and would have the most drone. Its a little annoying at low RPMs but sounds REALLY good up high. I have heard that the GHL magnums have less drone and have been impressed by how they sound in vids I have seen, but have not heard them first hand.
The Borla may annoy the neighbors if you are not careful. Also, I think the Borla might be also a bit much on a daily driver. It is great for a weekend car.
The most ideal situation would be to find the opportunity to hear what the different exhausts sound like.
In case you have not seen it, here is a good post that covers a lot:
I have the Corsa Touring. The Indy was a little to loud for me. They are DEAD quiet while cruising.. which is what I love. I had one on my GMC truck too and loved it. I have a Borla on my current Dodge Hemi truck and, although it does sound nice, it drones inside the cab. You ALWAYS hear it. I will be swapping it out for a corsa.
Is there any HP & TQ difference between the touring & Pace Corsa's?
I doubt that there is very little difference if any and between any manufactures cat back as far as HP and TQ, it is appearance and sound that make the difference.
The GHL Magnums use 5" mufflers and supposedly may have some drone. I have the GHL Bullets with 6" mufflers and with an otherwise stock exhaust system (re:regular cats and exhaust manifolds) there was no drone. Now, with longtubes and high flow cats, between 56-59 mph, there is some light resonance, but none beginning at 60mph and continuing through about 75-80 where it gets a little noiseier again.

I now consider myself a near expert on this subject. My first C5 was my '01 6spd vert. I joined a club and listened to a Corsa Pace Car on a '99 and thought it sounded great. Put it on my '01 and it sucked. Did the research afterwards and found out that pup cats were installed in '01 which act as mufflers so the Corsa was anemic and way too quiet. Took it off and installed quad tip stingers. Loved them!
Bought a 2000 A4 for my wife. Put LG longtube headers on it and didn't want my wife to complain about too much noise so I used Corsa Tiger Sharks. Great combo. Quiet at cruise. Roars at WOT. I prefer the deeper tone of the Borla though.
Wanted to put headers on my 2001 but feared it might be too much with the stingers. Finally did it anyway and figured if it was too loud I could switch to Corsa. No need! What sweet music this system is! No drone just muscle sound through the gears and reasonably quiet at cruise (not as quiet as Corsa but not annoying either just enough sound to sing you a tune).
Also have a 2001 A4 vert. It had a Magnaflow cat back on it and was almost as quiet as stock. Sold it and put Billy Boat on it. Don't ask me why. It's got good sound, is reasonably loud, okay at cruise but has a real annoying drone under light or normal acceleration. (Not bad a WOT but hey how often can you do that?) They'll come off this spring and Stingers will go on.
My friend has a 2000 A4 vert and he put the Borla XR1 race system on... for about 45 minutes. It droned at all speeds and cruise and if you drove for 2 hours you'd go nuts and deaf both.
I also have a friend that installed the Corsa Touring and that system is very anemic.
Told you all that because if I just said Borla Stingers were best you could assume that the Stinger was all I had and I just liked it.
Best advice I can give is listen to different systems on the same year car as yours. Exhaust is after all a conditioned preference as some like it quiet, some like it loud. Suit your personal taste and you'll be happy. If you like a deep muscle tone listen to the stingers.

I'll throw in my vote for the GHL with the 6" can. Keep in mind I also have LG street series lt.
Drone from 1300 rpm to 1500 rpm. Outside of that, it's pure musclecar tone. The gas pedal doubles as a volume **** now. Nice, quiet hum at cruise and it just sounds better the closer the pedal gets to the carpet.
You guys are making this hard! I'll take one for each day. I'm stuck between quad stingers, corsa, and someone sent me an audio of the bassani. That bassani sounds real nice too! Here's what I'm looking for; minimal to no drone, and talking big trash at WOT is preferred.
I don't want real loud, but i want it to sound real nice!
Corsa Indy here, wonderful sound... although I haven't added headers yet. That's somewhere down the road and I think it'll put it at just about the perfect volume for me. Stingers with headers are a little too loud for my tastes--I'd prefer not to wake up half the neighborhood when I come home late.
Corsa Indys here, Love them, No headers, No drone at all and sound great from half to WOT. Everyone that listens to mine loves them - best of both worlds.
