noise-normal?
ive only had my 97 coupe for about a week and am learning things everyday from this site. i have noticed a loud noise when i turn the lights off that sounds like an air pump that runs prob about 30 seconds, pretty loud. is this normal ? thanks

I have a guess, but it's just a guess. Sounds like a bad gear in your headlight assy. Have someone turn off your lights and see if when the door goes down, the noise is coming from the headlight motor on one side or the other. If so, there are several threads with parts and instructions to fix. Hope I'm not misleading you. Logically it seems like the stop switch could also be bad or misadjusted so that the light motor tries to continue running till it times out.
