Battery sparks and error codes
During the winter my Vette is kept in the garage for a long period, so some attention has to be paid to the battery.
How do I reduce the amount of sparks when disconnecting/connecting my AC Delco?
Are there any possible error codes involved in this procedure?
What error codes can I expect when battery is charged without removal.

Hi there,
Well, the first thing is always connect the negative battery terminal last. Also, make sure that your car is closed, doors, and disconnect the hood lamp.
This should bring your sparking down to a minimum.
You should not have any codes short of the normal communications codes, inherant in c5. You will also have to resynchronize your transmitters, by holding lock and unlock, on the transmitters. One at a time, and you will hear your locks cycle.
Just remember to position your self near the gas filler door, as this is where the receiver is located.

To elaborate on c4c5specs comments, when connecting the battery connect the neg terminal last, when disconnecting disconnect the neg treminal first.
Make sure the neg-terminal cables do NOT contact any metal during the process, and make sure no metal (like a screw driver) cross-connects the positive and negative terminals of the battery.
Wear eye protection when working on the battery.
