Ping & Temp.
I have repeatedly now noticed that a high ambient temp makes my car ping. Yesterday, low 90's it was pinging like crazy once it got warmed up.
Today, 60's/70's and couldn't make it ping at all, even with the engine lugged. Same gas, etc.
In the past I've replaced the fuel filter, changed the plugs, used lots of techron, etc. Each thing helps some but not for long.
With the ambient temp seeming to have having everything to do with it, does that provide anyone a clue what I should try next?
Knock sensors, top engine clean, etc? Car has 90k. Thanks.

You could do a decarb.
But the surest cure for ping is a little TORCO in the gas when you need it.
