I have a 1997 corvette and purchased a factory cd changer for it. It has a 3-way female connector and a 4-way male connector on the cd changer harness that plugs in to the factory body harness. I found the 4-way male but cannot find 3-way female. HELP!!!!!!! I don't want to tear out the whole wiring harness looking for this.

It is in the footpanel on the passanger side. One is tucked in the kick panel.

I checked the kick panel and don't see nothing there unless it is taped up in the harness where i can't see it.

This is from my 2001. I took picture when I mounted the CD in the back. Mine was taped onto another set of wires. It took a bit of looking but I found it. Had to pull carpet back a little.

Good luck

I know this is asking a lot? But do you know where the set of wires were located that it was taped to? Kick Panel, Floor. Etc. My luck it will be the last set I unwrap. I have heard that some early models did not have this plug??

I am afraid the 97 did not come prewired to the footwell like later models. I think chevy started pre wiring to the footwell in 2000 or 01. You will need to get to the back of the stock radio to do the wire job. I have not seen any post on that procedure, but you will need to remove center console and the panel around the radio to get to it at least. good luck.

I think you are right because I can't find any. If I can pick up the dark green wire from the radio without taking the radio out I think I can make it work.
