Default ASP Pulley install (track) results

Let's get to the point. I went to the track one week ago with only a cold air intake and otherwise stock 01 Z06. I swapped in an ASP pulley an no other mods and here are the results:

Before

86º Ambient temps
1.997 60'
12.58 @ 112.58

After:

76º Amient temps
1.970 60'
12.304 @ 114.98

All runs made at Houston Raceway Park. Sorry, but I do not have the DA info, which would help decpiher the difference that weather played. My thoughts are that the pulley is basically worth .1/1mph, and the rest of the gain is from the better weather (colder/dryer air).

FWIW, I noted no difference in the a/f (I use an Innovative LM-1 w/ HPtuners for datalogging). No tuning changes were made after the pulley install.

I did my own wrenching and bought the pulley used for 110 bucks (new belts cost me about 60 bucks). Overall, I think this is a good mod for those willing to put some elbow grease in.

Install: I did not completely remove the steering rack - unbolted it and slid it out of the way. It wasn't a real fun install, but I've done worse. Hope this helps clear things up for people.

Summary: Track testing pulley validates 7-9rwhp gain commonly seen on LS1 Fbodies.

Thanks for the report...glad to hear the outcome. I had one installed when I had a H&C install.

Sleeper: YW. Trying to post factual info. I believe a dyno is a good baseline, but not nearly as useful/reliable as track results.

I am in the process of trying to figure out the DA for the trackday.
