Default Freezing my passenger!!! Help!

My HVAC unit is constantly blowing cold air out the passenger side, regardless of the settings or adjustments (driver's side works fine). I pulled the codes last night and come up with B0367 and B0446; both indicating a problem with the right actuator.

I found a write up on how to adjust/replace the driver's side actuator - but can't seem to find any information regarding the passenger side.

Can someone please let me know if you've had this problem and how it was resolved?

Thanks in advance!
Trevor

I had a problem with my car blowing cold on the passenger side and hot on the drivers side. Read a thread on resetting the actuator by disconnecting the battery for 60 seconds and reconnecting. The actuators reindexed themselves and it worked for me. All is working great again. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for the reply. I installed a dual cone intake this weekend and had the battery disconnected for about an hour. After reconnecting it still didn't re-index so I'm guessing there is something wrong with the actuator.

Should I try disconnecting it again or try it a couple times? Or perhaps a shorter duration - will that make any difference?

Thanks again.

Couldn't hurt. I would try it again before digging into replacing actuators.
Good luck!

Ecklers sells these little plastic covers that pop on the vents. Real simple low tech way of solving the problem.

I got them because my wife was always cold when she rode in my car.

Sounds good. Is the cold passenger side air "re-directed" to the drivers side with the covers installed?

Yes.

You can feel the increase in flow on the drivers side. Thereby allowing you to decrease the fan speed as needed.

Hope this helps.
