now the next question is going to be,halltech, vararam or callaway?i got neither one but i'm going to get one of them when i decide,so far i have a drop in k&n with a big a** hole in the stock lid.
Do the zip tie mod for starters.. This is good for about 8-10rwhp.. You will feel the difference.. Get rid of the resrictive as hell stock airbox... You may want a hood seal if you drive in the rain... My car stays home when it rains.. Click this link for details and pictures...... 10 horsepower is not bad for the cost (.99 cents) of a few zip ties. Some say it looks cheezy...I don't think so http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=27

Thanks,
Don't know how far i will mod, i want about the same power as my LS2 05 GTO. I may keep the car pretty much stock and then buy a C6 in about two years. But i'm sure heads, cam, intake and so on would get me 50hp pretty easy.
The Vararam should give you 3/10's of a second and 3 mph in the quarter mile. You can't really measure the impact of a CAI on a dyno.
Some say that is the equivalent of 30-40 HP
About half our club just had their cars tested on a dyno, and those with just modifications to the intake showed no measurable increase in HP. You are wasting your time modifying your intake system if you are not doing anything to increase the exhaust flow. You cannot force any more air into the engine than you can get out.
Just read the post above. How can someone say you gain 30-40 HP but you cannot measure it on a dyno??

Their suppose to make more power at speed than setting still on the dyno.
