Default my car dies on decel...

Often, when I'm coming off the higher range of RPM's (5K and up) and press in the clutch to coast, my car will die.

This is a little freaky when you don't realize it's happened immediatly, and you try to turn or stop and it's difficult

I have a H/C car with LG's and blackwing if that matters...
Everything else seems to be ok, (other than the external temp reading, but that's another thread..)

Is there a common cause for this? I've read about an idle re-learn.. will that help?

Any help would be appreciated..

It sounds like your throttle cracker needs to be adjusted, or you may have need for an idle transition tune. No, the idle re-learn won't work for a h/c car. Sounds like it needs to be tuned, or re-tuned.

Mine does it too. I posted and read threads a few weeks ago. The consensus was to clean intake, TB, and upper end of the motor with Sea Foam (avail at napa) and Techron injector cleaner. After running the Sea Foam through my engine (and making my street look like London in a BAD fog) and running the cleaner through, it seems to be gone. I haven't had the chance to drive it much since the clean up though. It's been at the paint/body shop doing some touch ups.

I would be surprised if that actually resolved the issue. As ArKay99 pointed out, this is generally an airflow issue that can and should be resolved through a proper tune. I would suggest before manipulating ancillary airflow tables (e.g. Throttle Cracker/Follower) that you verify you Base Airflow is correct. PM me for information.

Thanks, and thanks to you too John.

I was actually planning to do the seafoam treatment before my next oil change anyway..

I'll clean what you've suggested. Keeping my fingers crossed..
