i was thinking a 1.6 would be "reasonable" with either dr's or slicks...

that would reduce my 60ft by .5

12.8 -.5 = 12.3

I think i could have ran a better than 12.8 (12.6?) but they closed the track at 10 and prevented me from another run... I went sideways when i hit 3rd and let off the gas a lil to help correct.. and then pounded down again...

so just based off this info i think i could hit 11's... or does this seem unreasonable based off performance/mods?

Doubtful...I don't think you have the power. I ran 11.82 in an auto w/DR's, H/C, converter and gears w/ 1.707 60' time and that was at 115MPH. A better 60' generally means lower MPH.

You can try and it is a worthy goal....

You should get it! The best mod I did to my car was Et Street tires. The car dropped .6 in the quarter because I was getting traction and also gained MPH. I was running 11.71s with a bolt on cam only Z06 with Et Streets.

He definately can run 11's with a better 60'. I'm assuming he has a M6 from the 60' time, posted.

1/8.... 8.036
MPH.... 93.51
1000.... 10.308

Assuming that is a six speed, and you get your launch down right, you should be able to do it. I think 1.7x is a little more realistic with drag radials for a 60' time. See my sig, the 11.9 run was on stock 3.42 rear, not the new 4.10s, but with a RPM tranny and an Exedy dual clutch.

Now the bad news, increasing traction means you are likely to find the next weakest link in your drivetrain. Drag radials are really good for breaking things, I'd suggest getting the E/T streets.

Either way, it will take some time to re learn your launch with the new traction. I can tell you now my launch for the two 11.9s and one 11.8(not me driving) this car ran was with the rev limiter at 6800, and banging off the rev limiter once the tree started dropping: bang, bang, bang, bang, spin, squat, zoom! With that much traction, seemed everything under a 6k launch would bog a little after the squat.

If all else fails, the driver might need to drop a pound or 30...

Let us know how/what you do... Good Luck!

I could deff. afford to loose a few pounds.. but i'm also 6'3

and sorry it is a MN6. I only made 2 passes that night, and i broke loose in 3rd forcing me to let off the gas a little and correct. I'm sure a better time was there but they closed before i could make another run.

This is really encouraging.

Default 11's...

Check my sig for my mods, including a 228/228 cam w/ported LS6 heads, then read my story in the drag racing section, regarding what my tire and wheel change did for my ET just this past Friday.

Consider buying some BFG DR's and assuming you know how to shift that beast, you could be in the 11's!

Yes I would say tires will help you. Look for a set of used drag radials if you are only doing this sporadically. If you are going to do it regulary, look into a CCW drag pacakage with ET Streets

I'd say you should be able to run 11's with that kind of power. I'm down 70rwhp from you and running 12.30's on Nitto DRs in a car that's probably heavier than yours.

Put some drag radials on it and drive it like you stole it

As a general rule every -.10 on the 60ft = -.15-.20 in the 1/4 and a reasonable 60ft for you and your mods would be more like 1.7-1.8 with a great 60ft being anything 1.69 and below.

And yes I think you can sqeeze an 11.9x with some good tires and prep'd track
