I just got my car a H & C package and a tune. My vette is a 98 and it still redlines at 6K RPM. It is so much faster and it makes all of its horsepower at that RPM. I just got my car back last tuesday 10/10/06. Do you think it would be wrong of me to ask the shop that did the work to have them increase the redline?

If so, how much should they raise it?

Im assuming you did valve springs etc.. realistically you should dyno it and see where the power peaks, go 2-300 rpm farther and set your redline there. Keep in mind though the more rpms you turn the harder it is on EVERYTHING. Do not get crazy here. Im doing mine right now, im shooting to make power to 6500 and shift at 67-6800. I cannot stress enough the importance of your valvetrain at these rpms. Make sure what you have can support it. guideplates,HD pushrods, springs, even a revkit?

Yeah, I got hardened p-rods, dual gold valve springs, titanium retainers, etc. I think i am good to go. The power is insane from 3500-6000 RPM though. It seems like it wants to rev to 7000 RPM
