Tire pressure sensor questions.
What exactly are the differences between the different year TPS?
Are the differences mechanical(size/shape) or electronic(computer related)?
Does anyone have pics of the different sensors?
Can someone help me find the battery replacement "how to"?

The 1997-2000 use the same sensors. The ones used in the 2001-2004 are different. I understand that that they transmit on different frequencies. Physically, the 1997-2000 sensors are larger. The following link shows the 1997-2000 sensor and tells how to replace the battery.

And the newer ones don't update as often, although they will imediately inform you of any critical pressure issues. That way, they will last longer. 7-8 years or 100,000 miles for old ones, newer ones should go 8-10 years.
