Okay, I just had a brand new torque converter and transmission (built by Rodney at RPM) installed last week. Due to some tuning issues (clarified this with Todd at RPM), the TC is unlocking at cruising speeds.
Okay, the tuner I am having look at it is about 2 hours away, is it safe for me to drive my car to him?
I really need to get my car re-tuned and this will require driving it to the tuner, because I do not have a trailer or a truck.
I would keep checking the tranny temp on the way to the tuner. I would also check with the who built the setup to see what they say about driving it the way it is.
I had the same problem after my rebuild and Vig 2800 install. Had to adjust the misfire tables to 32000 if I remember right. Jimmy blue on ls1 tech has the correct info for this. This is a common problem with a high stall converter. This fixed my problem. Hope this helps.

This is what I am hearing, I am going to get it all worked out next Tuesday! I can't wait.
If you do drive it to the tuner just take it easy and cruise it! Then once it is fixed have some fun! As stated above watch the tranny temps on the way and all should be okay!
