After months of trying to decide whether or not I should add an x-pipe to my exhaust, I finally broke down and bought one. While I loved the sound of my car with just headers and Corsa Indys, I wanted a slightly smoother exhaust note. And I LOVE the new sound of my car!!! :D The car is actually a little quieter under 3500 rpms, but after that, the car screams! At 6000rpms, the car sounds like it's reving 8000rpms. Far more exotic, race-car like exhaust tone. It sounds smoother at idle as well. As for the popping, it's still there, maybe even a little more than before. Probably due to the h-pipe built into the TPIS headers. This made me happy, because I love the popping. My fear of losing it was one reason I waited till now to buy the x-pipe. Before the x-pipe the car had more of a muscle car sound to it, now it sounds like a Ferrari on steroids. Whether or not you'll like the sound of your car better with the x-pipe really depends on personal preferance. Me, I LOVE it!!! :D As for performance, I really can't feel a differance, maybe a little more pull up top. But, it's hard to feel 5-8 hp, so I expected that. I'll know for sure if it helped at all when I go to Englishtown tomorrow. I'll post my results.

Don't worry Mike, I'll definately be at E-town Saturday, Wednesday is just practice! Does your car sound a lot different now after the heads and cam? Your car did sound awesome when I heard it last time, so I can't even imagine it now!

I got mine from TByrne Motorsports in the forum mall. They have it on a September special for only $224.99. Great service too, got it within a week of when I placed the order through the mall.

when I got my Corsa's I liked the decel sound...then I got tired of it.. it was just too much.. Wife ( What do they know) hated the sound said it sound like something was wrong with the car... ( when I pop and gurgile , she says their is something wrong with me) So I can see how a woman can get the sweet sound of a fine exhaust sytem confused with my digestive system... So I got the X pipe.. I still get alittle poping and gurgling.. so to make her happy and most importantly .. SO I can still get alittle.... The X pipe works for me..
