I have been running 13.6@102.22, with mods below(except Indys and X-pipe). With Indys and X-pipe, I ran 13.497@103.05, my 60' are 2.06-2.10. I think the time was better because of 5 degree cooler temperature not exhaust.
I have seen others running a higher top end with the same time, what can I do to increase the top end without a big investment? I have not done a PCM re-learn, would this help? I have a powerloader on its way--could this be the solution?
Don't get too fooled with those trap numbers. Street tires with a lot of wheel spin can make for better trap speeds, but not better ET's.
What kind of tires are you using? Stock? What altitude are you racing at?
My guess is that you bogged a little off the line, maybe a little wheel spin and then went straight. Your times are fine. I would not worry about it.
I am running Runflats. We run over at Red River Raceway north of Shreveport, LA. Altitude is 100 ft. On the last runs, temp was 80 degrees and about 85% humidity. About the same weather as in Houston.
I hooked up pretty good last time at the track, very little spin.
I'm not sure what you are looking for, a better trap speed? If so, I believe 3.42 gearing will help you. I'm sure the Powerloader also will help a few tenths, because it can firm up your shifts.
If you are looking for better ETs, you should get a torque converter.
Your topend might be lower if your lifting before where the track really is measuring topend speed.
You might be geared in that your using a trannie gear shift close to the finish line that is forcing you to cross the topend line below where then engine torque is able to really pull the car at higher speeds.
You might be runing low tire pressure that give you better launch times but due to lower tires pressures is causig more rolling resistance which will eat into topend speeds.
Mods that you have are not tuned in properly and is killing off torque due to too low of engine timing during WOT which should be about 28-30 degrees.
I would definately suggest getting a programmer to change shift points higher and also I have found the best rpm to launch with mine for better times is between 14-1500 rpm and stand on it when the light goes. Dont try to shift it yourself, just let the auto do the work. The programmer gave me .2 in the 1/4. You could see more with the 3.15's, as i have the 2.73's. Good luck

Other than the MTI ram air, your mods aren't really doing anything for you. Your MPH is slightly low, but that is probably the weather. My 2001 A4 3.15 ran a 103.66 bonestock in October of last year.
