Those are awfully tall tires. While they may fit they will change your gearing just like pulling your 3.42's and running 3.13's

FWIW: I run those on my pickup truck. But not my Vette.

Default tires

Really a tall tire. I would put one beside the wheel well before you buy them. I don't think you will like the look.

It's not THAT bad, but it looks a little off. Regardless, unless you need the extra gearing and are prepared to modify your wheel well liners, look elsewhere.

I've run that tire before. It didn't fit exactly right..it rubbed the fenderliner, and im sorry but i dont'remember what part, I think it was near the front of the fender. IF you raise the car up, they might work.

45's would be to tall.

Who makes the 305 35 18's? Didn't know any were available.

The Nitto 555R is a drag radial that can be used on the street. The 555RII is a road racing tire that can be used on the street. They actually are somewhere between street and track. You can get as much as 10-15,000 miles on them, but are not very good in the rain. But if you live in an area that gets very little rain or it is a sunshine only car, no other street tires even come close to their traction.

Here's the straight scoop... The absolute largest tire that will fit the rear of a stock C-5 is 295 / 45 /18.

Up front I run 255 / 50 /17.

I know this because I have had them on for three years and tens of thousands of miles. See pics:

And no, it doesn't look like a jacked - up jeep. In fact, they fill the wheelwell nicely.

is it legal for a shop to put a V rated tire (149 mph) on a car that is capable of 178?

You can go much bigger than a 295 if you are willing to swap to a different size wheel.
