When a large local dealership got their first batch of 2000 C5s, I noticed they had several on the floor, chromed OEM wheels with... get this... C4 logos on them!! :eek:
Chances are, you're seeing aftermarket chromed wheels where they didn't reattach a logo.

are they polished or chrome? the ones you are seeing are probably aftermarket chrome rims. not knowing anything at the time, and not that it would have made a difference, i bought a used 99 vert with chrome rims. several weeks later my wife notices that one of the rims is missing the c5 logo in the center. i had no idea they were stickers. so my rims turned out to be 2k aftermarket rims with stickers. i do not know for sure if stock rims have stickers or not, but i think most aftermarket ones are either logo-less or stickers. unless it is peeling, you cannot really tell the difference.

I saw the same thing on a brand new MY '01 vert that was just delivered to the showroom floor staright off the truck. Polished wheels and standard wheel center caps????? Mabye there was a parts shortage.
