I have a 2004 C5 with 12K miles, I was reattaching the bra yesterday and noticed that the upper radiator hose was collapsed. The car was cold as I had not driven it since the previous day. I had my son drive the car this morning and warm it up. When he checked the hose it was round and open. When I drove the car the previous day, (moderate hard in 80's weather) I did not notice any issues with temps as it was running under 220*. Is there a problem with the hose or is this just the normal vacume effect due to the cooling of the fluids?

After reading this thread I went to the garage. And was surprised to find my own upper hose slammed shut. $5.88 later spent at Auto Zone for a new cap and after a couple of days of use and "cool down" time all is well. I don't quite understand what was wrong with the original cap, but the problem has seemed to disappeared?
