I have been trying to find a good sensor other than stock.
Some say get brass. I cannot seem to find any where I live.
Could anyone give suggestions? and where to get it.
I can go to any place in the Detriot Michigan area.
Noble quest. There have been reports here of Mr. Goodwrench replacing failed OP senders only to have the replacements fail in a couple months. Replacement Crap = Originally Supplied Crap: why not? There's a little bit of labor involved, which means it takes time for the do-it-yourselfer or $$ to Mr. Goodwrench if the car's out of warranty, so finding a more reliable sender is a good idea. To remove the old and install a new sender, you'll need a large socket, something like 1 1/16 to 1 3/16, can't remember which.

From past experience with some of NAPA's parts, or Borg-Warner's parts, I'm sure they would be a good alternative as well.
