Default turn signals and fuel range

I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. My 2001 corvette is having an electrical issue. When I start my car the turn signals are working fine, however everytime I drive it they stop working. My gas range is also going haywire. It will show a low level when the tank is full, or it will show a rang from 900 to low. Sometimes when the turn signals quit working I also lose the memory seats. But, everything else is workign fine. I had all of the grounding connections checked and cleaned, but this did not fix the problem. Any other ideas before I spend alot of money would be greatly appreciated.

2001 C5 here as well. Same problems too. The fuel gauge problem can be fixed by replacing the fuel level sensors in the tank. I was told by the dealership that the turn signal problems were due to a failing relay in the steering column.

Yeah, you guys and everybody else. Trying doing a search and you will find dozens and dozen of similar posts. You don't necessarily need to do anything other than try some techron fuel cleaner or use Chevron gas for the fuel gauge problem. The turn signals are controlled by a relay that's built into the hazzard switch on the dash. Tap it a few times with the turn signals on and they should start working. You can replace the flasher yourself - it's about 28-40 dollars, depending on how much your local dealer decides to rob you for. Try search for instructions. I've done this job myself and it's simple.

Is your gas gauge reading correctly or is it just the fuel range on the DIC that is acting up? Replacing the fuel level sensor will not fix the problem if the gas gauge is working correctly.

the fuel gauge seems to be working properly. Its just the range indicator that is messing up

Thanks for the info, I had a guy who owns a corvette shop in Jefforsonville Indiana tell me to start with the steering column.

Are you sure all the grounds were checked? Splice pack 208 routes the IPC ground to G104. Splice pack 201 routes the turn signal status signal from the status lights to ground at G201. Do you have any Class 2 Data codes between the IPC and the PCM showing? If the ground at G104 isn't good you could see some data communication problems or voltage level problems in the display logic and that would explain an erratic fuel range display. The turn signal ground at G201 could cause the turn signal problems you are seeing also. SP201 and G201 are located at the bottom of the left side A pillar while SP 201 is located in the Instrument Panel harness on the right hand side of the dash and G104 is located under the battery.
