243 castings are used in '01-04 Z06's and the new LS2's
there are different valves used depending on year, IE: '02-'04 lightweight sodium filled valves
under the intake port on #1 or #8 cylinder there should be a year cast into the bottom of the head
you'll see some #'s next to the '243' marking near the valvecover ridge, if anyone has the breakdown on those let us know
