Default Borla vs. Corsa

these systems seem to be the most popular manufactuers for mufflers. if you have one of these setups, what factors helpd you make the choice?

My criteria: looks and sound.

I bought the corsa Indy's w/tiger shark tips. Little bit of a PITA to line up, they must be exact or its easily noticable. Pretty loud when you get on it, but no noise when cruising.

They're so loud that when I got her dyno'd a couple of weeks ago, people from units around the shop came over to see the "screamer".

If I did it again, I'd go for the Touring.

I went with the Borla Stingers. I wanted a thraoty, beefy kind of sound from my car so thats why i choose this system. I also love the 2 tip look.

On the other hand, My brother had the Corsa Touring setup with the pro tips and I also liked the sound at WOT, but I wouldnt even think about trading my Borla's for them.

i have LT's and i will tell you that it is somewhat loud but very tollerable when crusing. Im only 20 years old so Loudness really doesnt bother me to much

I hope this helps and good luck with your decision

I got corsa indys and with longtubes and no cats..its F-N loud! But its not even noticible while cruising, which is cool

I have the Corsa Indy's with the Bassani X pipe. I love the setup and the above folks are right........it is a mellow sound at cruise and part throttle (perhaps a little "moan-y" at part throttle around town -- my least favorite part of the sound...I keep it in first gear a little longer that I did before..)
But at WOT? Katy bar the door!!!!!!!!!! The system just comes ALIVE with the kind of sound a V8 can sometimes only dream of making. I took my wife's car to the shop the other day and she followed me in the Vette. I intentionally had her blow by me at WOT.....and I still have the goosebumps to prove it. Whatever system you get, if there is any way to find someone in your area with both systems, give them a listen -- especially at WOT, idle and 70 or 75 MPH cruise. Just be sure that they have the same gears as you do as RPM will be very dependant on whether or not you are going to get resonance with the Borla's.

Sound, quality and looks. I have a H/C car, so a quiet exhaust with good flow and no resonance was key.

The Corsa Indy's are amazing. No resonance at any RPM and when you are downshifting hard, there is some really sweet sounding popping. Sounds just plain mean. And as everyone says...at WOT they are bad ***.

My car came with Corsa's Pace and I see no reason to change them to Borla, though if there are some 3" cats out there I want them other than SW that is

I had a Z28 with headers, cam etc and a Flow Master muffler. The resonance while cruising was VERY annoying.

When it came time to buy exhaust for the C5 I went with Corsa Indy’s because they claimed to have zero resonance. The claims are true! With headers, high flow cats, heads, and cam they sound pretty damn mean at WOT. They are still very quiet at cruise and still no resonance.

Corsa indy's for the simple no-drone factor. I would prefer them to have a deeper less euro sound to them, but we can't have it all can we?
