Default tuning for nitrous

i read in a an edition of chevy high performance that in order to get the best performance from a nitrous system you have to tune your engine to run differently. The downside to this is when you're not using the nitrous, you're sacrificing preformance because of the tune to your engine. Is there any truth to this?

That depends entirely on the NOS system used. A good, well designed sytsem will not sacrifice anything in the original tune.

I don't know if Bottlefed Racing is a vendor here, but they definitely have a system that works.

There's plenty of 'tuners' out there that pull the timing automatically when you shoot the juice. Not really a big deal. How big you planning on going? Under 125, pulling timing isn't really necessary.

I will be going to LG to get a dyno tune for my cam, headers, and other upgrades but i am also installing nitrous very soon. Should I install the nitrous before or after i go to LG for the tune ?? or does it really matter?
