We're installing an SDPC LS2 402 in my 98 C5. I remember reading somewhere that you may have to grind the motor mount to get them to align. I can't find that information now that we need it.
Has anyone run into this and can you tell me where you need to grind to get them to line up.
Hmmm... the part of the motor mount that goes into the cradle has a tab on it as does the part that goes to the aluminum part that physically bolts to the motor. Sorry, I don't know the official names of each of those parts.
But just as a guess, are they saying you need to grind the tabs off? That will allow greater flexibility in where the motor sits relative to the cradle.
