Default Killer Setup

Ok, so I'm trying to decide whether to go N/A or SC.. The engine is a 427 C5R with 17cc dished pistons...

Choice 1: All Pro LS7 heads milled to 54 CC ( my compression will be 11.5:1), Solid roller cam. Looking to turn 7200 RPM.

Choice 2: Edelbrock heads 66CC, D1SC 8-10 LBS, hydraulic roller cam.

I can add nitrous to choice 1 if needed.

I'm looking for a car I can drive... I'm kindda leaning towars the N/A setup because it should be plenty fast and down the line I can add nitrous if I wanted to and only use it if I needed to. Plus I'd have power all over and can rev to 7200.

Any feedback???

I'm running the same block with non-dished pistons relieved for a 12 degree valve angle, lightly massaged LS7 heads, and a Procharger F1C blower. C.R. is around 9:1. At only 8 pounds of boost, this combo made 773 RWHP on a fat tune. I don' need no stinkin' nitrous!

Are you running Methanol injection? How does the car handle?

I suggest you talk to someone at ECS or Andy at A&A before you add a SCer to an engine with 11.5 to 1 compression ratio. That's a couple of points over the standard for blown engines.

His motor wouldn't be 11.5:1 if he went the SC route. Did ya read his post?

Which edlebrock heads are you looking at for the SC setup? TSP's new 230cc edlebrocks would be badass for that setup. I would go the SC route since you will produce more power overall but still have great drivability. Also, with a solid roller you will have to maintain it much more than anything else.

That would probably be the one. Compression would be around 10:1 if I go the SC route...

That's what's going on my car right now, should have dyno numbers next week or the first of the week after. Thanksgiving is screwing the whole time table up...
