Fire exhaust
Anybody know how to get fire to come out of the exhaust like in the movies? Or is this all just hollywood special effects that really can't be done?

Run a straight exhaust with no cats and tune the car rich. Also a spark plug in the pipe helps.

Especially about the spark plug bit. It works quite well. Have seen it in person at some car shows.

Help out a brother here...I am assuming you get a spark to the spark plug you put in the exhaust somewhere? How do you get the spark to the plug in the exhaust? Confused

Definitely, an old Hot Rod trick. Old Rods, with multi carbs, would run rich enough to light the exhaust with a spark plug was fired by a old Ford vibrating coil box. The other thing you could do with the coil box was to attach the high voltage lead to the body so that anybody touching the car got shocked.

Is this the "flame out the rear" thread or the "install seat warmer" thread.. oh well, doesn't matter. That pic is one in the same.
