VetteTech Is In Nassau County (GreatNeck) So they will be closer to you. The address Is 325 Greatneck Rd
GreatNeck NY 11021 Phone# (516)466-3368 Ask for David. He's good friends with my father so If you call just tell him (Joe T) said you should call & he will take care of you. These guys do really great work, they don't advertise, most of their work Is through referrals. Most on Long Island have never heard of them. It's a beautiful place plus they have a detailing shop as well. Great bunch of guys who really, really know Corvettes. I would at least give them a call.

Are they a supporting tuner here? I have never heard of them. I cant imagine they are as good as the Vette Doctors. Do you think they can compare to Carmen and Dennis as far as performance work and records proven in the LSX world??

I would also recomend RPM Transmissions in Indiana. They do 90% of the upgraded tranny work here on the forum. Their web site is listed here under transmissions. Take a road trip!

They are as good as The Vette Doctors, both of us have had our cars done with both of these guys and VetteTech has less business so they spend more time with each car and the people they deal with. I always tell them to advertise but David wants to keep It to referrals only. He knows each one of his customers personally. They have rallys, meets, drag race days at English Town, ect ect... He has a good 50 consistant customers who have had everything done to their cars. I know alot of his customers and every one of them love this place & they love the fact that nobody really knows about It. They all feel like he has his mind set completely on their Corvette and nothing else & there Is no rush to get It out the door.
This guy David has about 20 Corvettes from the 50's to today. It's unbelieveable!! I've been around Vettes all of my life and have met lots of guys who seem to know everything about Corvettes, but this guy David blows them out of the water. Everybody who knows him will agree with me 100% All of his techs are the same way. I feel stupid when I'm there with all of them
Don't get me wrong...I love the Vette Doctors They have a great place and everybody knows them, but I personally would rather have my car done by a place that doesn't have 50 cars waiting to be worked on. Vette Doctors also didn't have any ventilation when I was there...I don't know how they breathe. Also they left the windows open on my Vette, my fathers & my friends Vette with all that exhaust smoke floating around In there. It ruined our new car smell..All of us said the same thing This was like a year and a half ago so maybe things have changed. The guys at The Vette Doctors are really cool guys, that was my only complaint. If they don't vent that place out soon they won't be alive for too long. I don't know how they can work In that place like that?? I hope It's changed.
Well the choice Is yours. Hey atleast you learned that The Vette Doctors Isn't the only great Corvette shop on the Island.
I would still call David and find out the deal. Great guy, you should see this place It's amazing In such a beautiful area too. Very rich feeling Inside and out of his shop. Best of luck

It sounds like VetteTEch is a nice place. However, to be put at the same level as The Vette Doctors you need some record setting accomplishments in the performance world, not to mention engineering solutions in the form of parts & systems.

They may have, I just haven't heard of them before.

With you. I still don't know why he wont advertise?? That's crazy, especially with all the Vette owners on the Island. Yes Carmen & Dennis are awesome, really great guys & know their (BEEP) lol
Well I guess David likes the amount of business he has, he's doing very well so I guess their not struggling at all Yeah like I said both are amazing places & I'm happy their both on the Island I can understand going to The Vette Doctors because there so well known. I just figured I'd let some of you know that there Is two great Vette places. Thanks for reading, sorry about It being so long
**Oh yeah one last thing, sorry: I'm sure It was an accident leaving the windows open, or maybe It was one of the newer techs who didn't know better at that point. I take nothing away from Carmen, Dennis and the guys at The Vette Doctors. I give them all an A+ For their work and knowledge. Same goes for VetteTech~

I didn't mean that I never heard of them through advertising, I've never heard of anyone who had work done by them, including the high HP cars at the track.

Good luck.
