Default leaking brake fluid from underside?!?!

well tonight I was changing the brake pads on the car when i see behind the driver side front wheel that liquid is falling down. I have the car in the front on rhino ramps and have easy clearance to the fluid. When i touch it and smell it, the culprit is brake fluid coming from that black colored panel behnd the front driver side wheel. i check my master cylinder and thats full and the clutch fluid cylinder seems to be very low. i'm thinking this is the problem but not sure. might someone know what this is. i thought it might be the slave cylinder but i dont know what that is or how to replace it. thanks

Is it possible your brake fluid was overfilled from fluid being added when the pads were low and when you compressed the calipers to change the pads it overflowed and then the level dropped again when you pumped the brakes?

Sounds like the culprit.

yea from talking to others, they experienced the same thing, it was just since the piston was compressing back the excess fluid had to flow out of somewhere and leaked out, thanks everyone
