I have a C5 and the fuel door does not release from the console button. The fuse checks ok and I can release manually from the storage area. Anyone had this problem?
Have you had the radio bezel or center console apart lately? Like when installing a shifter. The fuel switch connector is on a short wiring harness and is often pulled out of the switch. It's located up under the center console and difficult to see and hard to get properly engaged. I lengthened the wires on mine in order to avoid this problem. Check to verify that this connector is properly engaged. You need to take the center console loose to do this.

I've seen these come loose on their own also, slide the passenger seat as far forward as it will go and tilt the back forward then pull up on the E-brake and lift the center console up enough to see the connector, I'll bet it's disconnected.
