Those look like the painted thicker spoke wheels or maybe mag wheels. The painted thick spoke wheels will be 17x8.5 and 18x9.5 while the mags will be 17x8 and 18x9. In 2000 GM tried to provide forged wheels in both painted and high polish versions but the supplier could not provide enough forged wheels so somewhere during the model year they switched over to a painted wheel that was a casting. The spokes on the cast wheel were a little thicker than the forged wheel. Since March of 2000 was near the end of the production run they probably would be thick spoke wheels if not mags. Hard to tell until you put them beside each other.
Is it this??
17 lbs, front; 20 lbs, rear - 00 OEM standard, thin spoke, painted, no sensors or centercaps - Src TIA
That wheel has a GM stamp on it. That means its forged which also means its an early 2000 painted wheel. Same specs as the polished except its painted. Beginning in about March of 2000, as noted, GM switched the painted wheels to cast aluminum. Those wheels had slightly thicker spokes and "ears" where the spoke attached to the rim. Those wheels were made by Speedline and have Speedline stamped on them instead of GM.

If my car was built in March 2000, does it have forged or cast wheels? Is there a code # or anything I can look at to see what I have?
Sorry I don't have a better pic, but here is one.
Thanks.
Those are the cast Speedline wheels. You can verify that by looking at the back of the wheel and it'll say Speedline. You can tell by the "ears" where the spoke attaches to the rim and by the thicker spokes. Just compare it to a polished wheel, which is forged, and you'll see the difference pretty easily.
