Anyone ever had or heard of a Corsa muffler going bad?
In the last couple of weeks my C5 started the most annoying vibration buzz at 3000 rpm. It sounds like it is coming from the right rear so I thought it might be loose exhaust. I took it to a good muffler shop and they made sure everything was nice and tight but it didn't help a bit. So, I took it to 2 different Chevy places and they both said the same thing - right rear muffler is making the noise.
I have Corsa's and the paperwork says they are covered by a limited lifetime warranty but I don't think I ever heard of this before.
I have Corsa, maybe a clamp has worked loose, I had to have one side spot welded by a muffler shop to stop a vibration. Otherwise, get on their website and ask them. You may have to get it on a lift, and run it up to 3000 rpm, see where it is coming from. If a weld has broken inside the muffler, with no outside damage, they probably would replace it for you. Good luck, they are a great exhaust!

Haven't heard of it either, but anything is possible. If you're sure it is the muffler, just contact Corsa. Hopefully they will replace it for you with no hassle.

Call corsa, from what I have heard from other members they have very good customer service and yes it is a limited lifetime warranty on their exhaust systems.
Yes, I broke a baffle inside one of mine after a trip to the track. They were great to deal with they had a replacement sent out within a day or two.
FWIW I have Indy Pace Cars
I don't see how it is possible to damage a Corsa muffler without direct physical impact, since it is a straight-through design (i.e., there is no packing material or baffles).

I had a set of Corsa Indies and the welds where the tips connect to the tailpipe started to crack and was rattling. I spoke to the service rep, he had me take some pictures, and they stated they would have to replace them. They sent me 2 brand new mufflers in thebox along with an RMA. I swapped them out and returned them in the box, no problems since, and no charge either. I was so happy with the customer service I posted about it.

It is possible as someone has said above. A channel inside can come loose and rattle or something of that sort. I`ve had another brand (straight through design) go bad.
I have the corsa`s now and love them, and these things have been through the ringer at the track and mine have held up fine...

This picture is nothing but the baffles...look closer...it may be straight through, but there are channels around the outside to create a second, out of phase, exhaust pulse.
That's what it sounds like to both me and the GM tech. I'm gonna call the Corsa folks in the morning.
I had issues with both of mine. It sounded like contact somewhere along the exhaust pipe. After poking around a bit up by the headers and down by the tranny and not finding anything amiss, I pulled the muffler off and it was obvious the rattle was in the can. Same story sometime later with the other can. Corsa handled the warranty exchange very promptly both times. That's been about five or six years ago now, no trouble since.
I talked to Gus at Corsa and explained my problem. All he needed was my proof of purchase and now he's shipping me a new Indy muffler with the Pro tips.
