won't go into 6th gear

I can't get it to shift back into 6th gear,down shifted to go though
toll, up shifted from 4th to 5th when i put it in 6th nothing happen
no grind no gear just like it was in neutral
shifts feels normal and shifts ok in all other gears

If you have an aftermarket shifter check to see if one of the stop bolts came loose and is jamming the shifter. It happened to me with a Hurst shifter.

I'm not familiar with the MN6, but on my 65 4 speed a nut came off the linkage rod that connected it to the shift lever on the side of the tranny and even though the rod moved the lever never did.

Get a Hurst, but obviously get the current shifter/linkage checked out by a pro 1st. Hope It's nothing major
