Default 2 Quick Questions

Hey guys, I have a couple mod questions for my 1999.

1. I want to change out the headlights to give more of the white xenon look rather than the yellowish stock lights.

2. I have the Bose Stereo with the CD Changer. Is there any easy way to connect an iPod? (Hardwired, not FM frequency) I was thinking just unplugging the CD Changer and using that input, would that work?

1. Buy an HID kit. I know Corvette Garage has them, I think there is a forum member that also sells them.

2. Not that I know of for the 99. Look on crutchfield.com, they usually list what iPod adapters fit each car. Some do use the changer input.

I'll check them out. Thanks

you can do that, but you'd need a PIE GM10-AUX

or one of these:

As a side note, I have ordered stuff from logjam and the customer service was great. I had a problem w/12v pre-amp where it wasn't working correctly and they were great about getting me a replacement with very little hassel.

Will the factory CD changer still work or do you have to unplug it?

They have really nice Xeon kits available for the Corvette! I hate my headlamps!! They totally stink If you ask me. I'm gonna talk to Corvette Garage about getting the kit as well. I can't wait, hopefully I can have them Installed before I put baby away for the winter.

Found these guys today:
http://www.installer.com/ipod/

For $150 they are sending me some wire harnesses and RCA cables so that I just disconnect my CD Changer and hardwire the iPod into the Aux port on the stock radio. They say I will even be able to change tracks with the regular radio buttons as if it was a CD, so we'll see.

I will get around to ordering the HID lights. On west coast corvette it's $35 each for the low beam and high beam sets. Are those pretty easy to install?
