Well, I'm just waiting on the craftsman jack, 4 jackstands, sportbrake rotors and pads to arrive and then I'm swapping the rotors and painting the calipers.
I've read a ton of threads on this topic..... I just now started wondering if I should take the calipers apart to paint or just leave them on. The car is a 2002 and I'm not sure if the system has ever been flushed.
pretty much up to you....if you are swapping rotors /pads anyway...paint 'em now...less to mask off....
as for helpful hints....get a BMF hammer and block of wood (or not) just in case one of the rear rotors gives you problems....
speed bleeders are a good....no ..great mod....make the fluid flush a breeze....just get some clear tubing to fit over the valve so you don't make a big mess...
I would paint them If I were you. It will really make your Vette look alot nicer In my opinion. I would take the advice from the guys who posted above me...They know what they are talking about. Best of luck & Happy Holiday's
What I mean is should I take the calipers compltely apart to paint or should I leave them attached to the brake line and perform the work like that. THANKS!!!!! r/ Al

Hey I am just passing on good information that I think everyone should know.
I mean what if you were traveling over 100mph at lets say Pocono speedway and the lower caliper bolt backed out? I heard that when that happens the caliper gets caught on the inside of the wheel which in turn locks the front wheel. Locked front wheel at over 100mph does not make for a happy day at the track. Well so I heard
