Default CV joint brand preference?

Is there an aftermarket supplier for C5 half shafts? I pulled my drive assembly down to R&R the clutch. Followed cajundude.coms proceedure. Inboard CVjoints popped loose with out seperating from the diff. Feels like they came appart.
Have close to 66Kmiles on the car. 01 Z06. About 10 redline, side stepped launches on it on ET Streets.
Should I just replace the boogers, or have them rebuilt locally? I'm a heavy duty diesel mechanic, so, I have no experience with the reliablitiy of these things.
If I replace them, do I have another choice besides stock dealerparts?
Had a hub bearing go out on the left side last year at about 64Kmiles.
I'm guessing, I'll need to replace the seals on the diff? I was going to get a new diff from DTE, but not now, as I don't have the cash.

I don't know if there is an aftermarket supplier but for a hard user like you I would stick with OE if I were you. Definitely don't think about "rebuilding". Joints brinell in the tracks and in the cage windows and there's nothing a rebuild can do about that. The joint stem and the interconnecting shaft suffer from fatigue and again there is nothing a rebuild can do about that. Rebuilders usually clean the parts up, put in fresh grease, and install new boots/clamps. Not what you need.

Having said that, the inboard joints are not the weak link. Yours is probably fine. It's the outboard joint that usually goes. I believe the inboard joint is a double offset joint which means it has 6 ***** which slide in straight tracks. Very easy to put back together. Just do it by feel until the ***** engage the track and slide back in. You might want to replace the boots while it is apart. If you do that, then you will be able to see how it goes together.

Here is some of the work required to rebuild em.. If you have the time... and enjoy this ... It's not that bad..

If not... Then I suggest this...
Don't know if the c5 and c6 are interchangeable.. but... here is 2 almost new $100 on Ebay...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2005-...63260541QQrdZ1

I'd be all over these if I saw them before I did my rebuild...
