Default Lomg tube SS headers

guys got a deal on these s.s. headers on ebay for $299 they are 321 s.s. i know thats better than 304 s.s. Here is the url

[
they have 45 mm primary and 3" collects. If anyone has installed these before let me know what expected hp gains are on a 98 ls1. I also need to get me the gaskets let me know what you8 recommend, i know there are copper gaskets and other materials out there but dont know which is best.

thanks for the input

Ralph

If you like performance parts made by Mao Tse Tung or One Hung Low then buy that crap. If it make a difference to you to buy American made performance parts avoid that junk like the plague. You'll be thinking of me when you're battering your primaries to get these installed.

Whaaaat,
Theres nothing better than having to cut up and re-weld a set of headers cause your too cheap to buy AMERICAN..

You have to admit, relocating the O2's, hacking up the primaries, buying new cats, and basically fixing all of the problems associated with the headers just to save a few hundred bucks, is kinda fun....

I'm just kidding guys.. Theres NOTHING wrong with buying CHEAP Chinese made junk for your car..

Default Cheap headers

see the way i look at it chinese parts are cheap in quality, these headers are great quality for the money, sure they need some mods to get them just right but doesnt every upgrade need a certain level of adjustment to make it right for the particular applecatioin. I got then last night, i'll start hammering away to to make them fit, Hey Whoever thinks these headers are cheap think of it this way next time you get spanked on the highway by a vette faster than yours, they might just have put those cheap headers in and with the savings installed an american high stall torque converter and nitrous kit . dam wouldnt that suck.

By the way no bodys confirmed that they are in fact chinese.

321 has a higher heat range vs. 304 at 900 degrees C and has a higher corrosion resistance, but is harder to weld since it uses titanium as a stabilizer. It does not polish well either.

You are full of" well you know what ". I have these on my car and they are just as good as the B&B's I have bought in the past for 1,500.00 plus. Besides, just ask B&B where they get their SSteel from. That's right, overseas. You probably still laugh at Japanese cars. That stopped beibg funny a long time ago. Idiotic banter like this pulls this forum down to a very low level.

Dude I am with you, these things are awesome I just finished the install last night took me 6 hrs with air tools and welder. The collects have some serious issues as far as getting then aligned and the support tabs I had to cut and reweld. Cut I pretty much cut my stock exhaust off 1.5” in front of the cats welded the autozone exhaust coupler (the 3”I.D to 3”O.D) to the cats slid that midsection into the headers and used some temporary S.S U bolts clamps to clamp off the couplers to the headers. I just ordered titan High torque S.S. Band clamps to replace those. Other than that I can tell you it sounds mean as hell and the car rips them loose above 2,800 rpms The only other mods I have are a vararam intake along with a pioneer underdrive pully and muffler bypass. THESE HEADERS ARE A GREAT BARGIN, BUT U HAVE TO UNDERTAND THAT FOR THE PRICE THE INSTALL IS NOT IDIOT PROOF.
