well my car seems to be sagging in the rear passenger side...I just went through my entire suspension system...reusing my old bilsteins with low miles on them 10k...With all the suspension bolts set to their lowest setting the car seems to sag on that corner...Could this be caused by a blown shock, when installing this shock i was a little concerned since it was easier to compress compared to the drivers side. I know that the leaf-spring is a little irregular but its sagging about an inch... ??????
That's a very ominous statement. The leaf spring should be exactly symmetrical, no irregularities. Sounds like a spring problem to me.
Mike
Are you sure about this?
I have 2 springs and each one has a slight joggle just outboard of where it is secured to the cradle, one is delaminated and the adjuster had 3/4" extra thread engagement to get the car level.
Thanks for your help fellas....my problem arose from two factors: Garage floor was way off level (i didn't realize how bad it was), and passenger side had to go up a bit.....

i agree mine came from the factory with more thread on the passenger side.....just not an inch worth which is why i was
If the joggle you're referring to is the one molded into the spring arch, that's not what I thought was meant. By "irregular" I thought of something not molded into the spring.
The delamination is a real problem, though, unless it's maybe just the surface ply. That's a localized failure of the spring, and it will, most likely, fail suddenly and totally when it is subjected to a heavy load.
good stuff guys, however i noticed any corner of the car can be lifted 1/2in with a small amount of force, far less than the force needed to compress a bilstein, which is why i came to the conclusion that a shock may be at fault.... not what i know just what i think.......
