I just started getting the warning from my car that the Active Handling, ABS, and Traction control are all out of service. Has anyone else had a similar problem and what was the fix. I am hoping to have my car fixed this Saturday and wanted to let the dealer know what everyone else was saying about this so I can have a quick fix. Thanks for any help.
First off, have you reset the codes on the DIC, shut off the car and then restart. That usually cleared the lights for me but you may also want to clear the actual codes, usually one is TC 1225 or TC 1228, depending on what wheel is acting up.
The problem is usually just a faulty connection at the PCM or sensor harness near one of the wheels, it doesn't mean that the actual systems have failed. Good Luck!
Thanks. Can I clear the "acutal codes" though or is that something the dealer has to do. If not, how can I do that. I have already tried the resetting (to just get the message off the screen) and shutting off the car and that didn't work.

I had a similar problem about three months ago...Suddenly I got traction control failure followed by Active Handling not working. What I did next was to shut the car down and restart it. It was good for about 10 seconds and then failed again with the same errors. I tried reset but to no avail. Since it did work correctly without failure for about 10 seconds before failure, I then decided to turn my traction control off immediately when I started it. It turned off ok and gave me no errors concerning the AH. I then shutdown and restarted it and the problem disappeared and hasn't returned in many months. I think it was just a testing glitch with the traction control system which is now gone. Try it, it may work, you have nothing to lose....Good Luck...
