I understand these work well with The Twinflow, which I just installed over the weekend. I like the look of the screens but I'm worried about dirt and water getting under the hood and crapp'in up my engine compartment. Has anyone had experience with this. As always, I appreciate all the responses... Thanks

I originally put my cold air screens in for cosmetic purposes - to paint them red, but now with my Donaldson Blackwing - it was worth it. About dirt getting in - I have had them in for about 4 months now and haven't noticed anything bad as a result of the screens. Maybe in a sandy environment it could cause complications.
But I love my red cold air screens - would never go back.

Yeah they are a bi#ch to install. But once you see the housing from under, the car - it's self explanatory. Lots of bending your hands and arms in directions you never thought possible. Fog lights work fine.
Now the real question: how hard are these buggers to put in? I've heard from some folks that they're next to impossible to install...
I've heard hard unless you have a lift. I had mine done by the dealership's service department
Additionally, do the fog lights still work with them installed?
Yes. Essentially, the West Coast Corvettes Cold Air Screens are factory housing which have been cut open. A criss-cross matrix (honey comb like) screen has been attached from the back side. The fog light holes are left intact. There is no obstruction on the light.
The Z06 screens completely cover the fog light area, so there must be some (probably small) diminishing/distorting affect on the fog lights if you use them.
On my car we removed the front Facia and completely removed the housing that went around the fog lights. In its place we installed the Z06 screens and left the rest open. The OEM Fog Lights are mounted to the body of the car and have nothing to do with the Front Facia. We also installed PIAA 1100X lighting... What a Great Setup!! If you really want to do it right... this is the way to go.
In reference to the install being tough, you must be talking about the full inserts that require removing a lot of parts.
I put my ZO6 screens in without a hitch in about half an hour. Just cut the black abs material with a new razor utility knife and velcro those babies in.
I removed the front facia enough to where I could get in there with an angle drill and drill the location holes and install bolts... Its pretty easy ... put it up on some Rhino Ramps to access ...
I installed WCC cold air screens to compliment my twin flow intake. Seems to work fine. I live in a very sandy environment, and while I do get some dust in the compartment, I didn't really notice a huge before/after difference. Yes, putting them in can be a bitch. Go HERE for an install tip.
I agree with using the velco to attach the screens. Just use a 1" hole drill, punch 3 holes into the existing cover them velco the screens in. Works like a champ in 25% of the time of the full replacement :yesnod:
I used Velcro on my first set of Screens... (you can see where this is going) until one fell off on the road somewhere. :( now they are bolted in place and are not going to fall off the car. :yesnod:
They definately let more dust/dirt into the engine compartment, which indicates they are also letting air in...
They are very hard to install.. I drilled holes in my covers instead of replacing them... Forum user John Glen or JohnGlen or Gle(nn) has a template with an actual size layout of where to mark & drill holes in a very neat nice pattern... search for his username(s) & then check his website to see the template & get him to email it to you "actual" size.
