Default Passenger Side Window-New Problem

For me anyway, I have read all the post I can find, but here is the twist, 2001, stuck in the up position, I removed door panel, accessed motor, Checked power to motor-OK, tried the tap motor with rubber mallet- window took off and came down, rolled it back up and it went up ok, reversed it and it rolled part way down, about 4" protruding above seal, and it stopped again. Tried the tap method several more times, nothing, motor is pretty hot, so I pull power wires off, need advice. Thanks.

Your motor/regulator is shot. They're not too expensive and and pretty straight forward to install. Just takes some time and patience.

Not true, found that if you pull the motor housing and rotate armature by hand regulator is fine, used some contact cleaner and reassembled motor(be very careful pulling apart motor or the armature will slide part way out and your brushes will pop under and you will not be able to reassemble without some creative engineering) works like a champ.
