Clicky

With a BAP, Racetronix pump, and 60#s I am putting 800 to the ground with a otherwise stock 02 fuel system.

i just installed one with a racetronix harness. pretty easy install. i have a heads and cam car and push 445 to the wheels. i was about to test out the BAP with some juice when my wife decided to put my car into a rock wall, so i cann't comment just yet. i should get it back in a few weeks (just cosmetic damage) and i will let you know how it holds up on the jug.

Nabil -
Most cars experience a voltage drop the instant they go to WOT! A high performance EFI car cannot afford a fuel pressure drop, so maintaining constant voltage to your fuel pump during WOT goes a long way in helping to prevent your motor from a lean condition due to the voltage drop at the "hit of the throttle". The BAP should supply constant voltage to your fuel pump!!!

JR is right Nabil,
Although if you are going to forge your bottom end then between that and your Paxton kit you will exceed the hp that a boosta pump can handle. If thats the case then I would recomend our 04 fuel system.
(I also prefer the MSD bap, all contained in one unit)
btw, I never recieved a copy of the mag your car was in, I would like to see the layout of the magazines in Dubai.

Thanks JR & Doug.

Yep I understand the same hence my worries, see I am pushing 450+ rwhp at the moment. I have the MSD unit btw but didn't install it coz of the aboe mentioned plans Doug mentioned . This thread is for my research purposes. Gotta learn everything I am MOST probably going with ECS's 04 fuel system On that Note Doug, PM me when you are in the shop so I can call.

P.S. Chris told me he got it last month Did you check with him ?
Let me know.

Cheers,
Nabil

Why not just install a high performance fuel pump by itself or with a BAP?

04 fuel system requires dropping the tank, I think that Racetronics makes a pump for them now, but they are so hit or miss that I would never use it. I literally had 3 bad racetronics pumps this week alone and it's only Wednesday. Brand new right out of the package. Its time consuming enough on the pre 03 systems to change them, forget dropping the tank each time. So we will only use the BAP or from there our fuel system.

Changing the fuel pump on a '99 C5 is probably one of the easiest to do next to a C4.

> PROCEDURE <

Our kit includes a fuel drainage kit which makes the job a bit easier.
