Default Window Stop Alignment Challenge ?

I have a 2002 C5 with a window problem. When closing the passenger door, sometimes the window catches the the little black Window Stop at the top of the window and the glass is stuck on the outside of the stop. If I open the door and reclose it, its fine. The glass is now leaving a mark on the outside of the stop. Has anyone had this problem and/or know how to adjust this. Do I have to adjust the whole door or just the stop. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks ....Rocket

If you remove the little red reflector on the iside of the door panel, there is a window adjuster right beneath it.
This will allow you to adjust the window a little lower..

That adjustment tips the top of the window in and out and you also have to loosen a nut on the bottom of the door first. Do a search on window adjustment and read the warnings before you start. There is also an adjustment for that clip you're describing. It's called a window blowout clip. (or anti blow out)

If your window is sealing correctly along the top weatherstrip, the tip-in may not be the problem. You may need to remove the door panel and re-center the window in the opening (front to back). Look at the glass to see if it looks like it follows the contour of the window opening, and compare it to the other window to see if it looks like they are adjusted the same.

Excellent advise and excellent pics of cars!
