"The code issue is strange, it only seems to happen on 2001-2002 Corvettes, at least that I've seen. We have one on a local '99 for a a couple years now and it has never thrown a code.
We're in the process of changing the code a bit, and will do more extensive testing on the Corvettes afterwards. I'd like to get into that market later this spring. There hasn't been much visibility in the Corvette scene yet. "

I'm very interested in the product, as are many many track guys I know, we just haven't seen if it will work in a 2002-2004 Z06 yet, no one seems willing to buy one to try it.
Tell Todd to loan me a demo unit, I'll test it out and write up what I find on the Forum plus blast it out to every C5 guy I know (20-30 ppl).
FWIW, mine is a 99 and it happens periodically. I've read that additional traffic on the communication buss of 01+ units made them more problem-matic....again, I like the scan gauge for the most part, but it does throw codes from time to time.
Looks like it functions similar to a scanmaster, but having it fit in a a-pillar pod and having the analog inputs look like a very good or even better alternative.
I loved having one in my GTO, was a great thing to have in the car. I may try it in my Z sometime, the person who bought my GTO is a friend of mine so I'm sure he'll let me try it for a while.
I have one mounted behind my ashtray door in my supercharged 99, no worries so far. I love all the info it displays, I am surprised that many people have never seen one. Sweet product for us "Information Hounds"
Bringing this thread back to see if there is any more info related to running one on an
02Z. Anyone run one with success, without throwing codes? Last reply was in 07, hoping maybe they have been upgraded for this issue...
