Default Passenger Door Lock - Tried to Fix...

...using this thread:
http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...1218327&page=4

Question: Now my PASSENGER door (the one that had trouble unlocking) will not lock or unlock and the window doesn't work. I still have the PASSENGER door panel disconnected so maybe that is the problem? I only messed with the door unlock relay (the middle relay of the three) so I don't understand why none of the features seem to work when pushing the buttons on the DRIVER's door that lock/unlock/window operation of the PASSENGER door.

One other thing, I got a code on my DIC:
B2285 Battery #2 Fault DCM-RIGHT

Any thoughts? Should I just order a new Door Control Module?

PS - This is typical for me trying to do work on my car. Usually ends up being more than I anticipated.

I had a similar problem on the drivers side... I removed the door panel, Which is very easy, 3 screws a wiring harness, and pull straight out.... Then I found the ground wire for the panel relay, and sure enough it was loose, so I removed the clip that it is attatched to and I re-inserted it properly into its home... Easy fix, I should not have put it off for 2 weeks

Could you elaborate about the ground wire? Was it coming into the Door Control Module ("DCM")? Was it on the black, gray, clear or red plug that goes into the DCM?

I tried messing with them tonight and nothing happened. I can't even get the plugs out of the DCM. Maybe I'm missing something about removing them. I know on the clear and red harness there is a little tab to depress. On the black and gray harness there is a piece of plastic that needs to be removed first. I did these things but still can't get the wire plugs removed from the DCM!!

Thanks!!

My problem ended up being the 25 amp fuse to the 'power to Right Door' that blew. Once I replaced the fuse, everything worked including the unlocking feature, which is what I was attempting to fix in the first place.

Very happy now. Just need to put the door panel back on and she should be ready to roll!!

As i had posted in the referenced thread, I too changed the relay, but it did not fix my problem. Apparently there was another problem on the circuit board.
i bought a replacement on the forum and it has been perfect since.
