Which springs to use for an G5X3 Cam or similiar cam specs?
I'm on the fence on which ones to get. I'm a budget minded guy, but is the 921's worth the extra $300? I'm a firm believer you get what you pay for, but I know of a handful of fellow fbody and ybody owners that run PRC springs and I do know that AFR heads run these springs on all of their heads. So that relaxes me a little bit.
Just not sure if buying the 921's is worth the safe insurance or not. I also am concerned about the pressure of these springs too. I do know they are quite beefy, the concerns of collapsed lifters is on my mind as well.
Just getting some opinions from other peeps. Any input would be appreciated.
get the prc springs, they work great even with higher lift cams. I am using them with my .615 lift cam. I am using the stock ls7 and have no problems either.
Look around on LS1Tech. You'll find few, if any stories about problems with these springs. They have proven to be very reliable, and will easily control an X3...so why pay double the price?

I will be picking up a set of these next month for my G5X3 set up. I help install the ones on Tom's car and they look extremely well constructed.
Thanks for everyone's input. I guess that does make things a little more relaxing. I'm just trying to figure out what advantages there actually are with the 921's?

I'm also running the PRC dual springs, they are good to .650 or .660 lift. I did a lot of reading on LS1tech before deciding. I know the 921's are an excellent spring also, but the concensus was there not worth that much more money.
