Default cut away view of stock muffler?

Well, I have been searching for hours on Google and this site looking for a cut away picture of a stock C5 muffler. If there is anyone out there with one, I would really appreciate it. Post up, PM, email, etc...

thanks in advance

They may be dirty, but I doubt they are rusty as they are stainless steel !

A forum member modified the inside of the mufflers 6 or 7 years ago and posted pics of the inside but I think they are no longer part of the archives.

Hmmm? I guess I am not the first person who has thought of doing this?

Edit: I would guess by the number of views, I am also not the only person curious about the inside of a stock muffler?

Those muffler bearings are really rare seldom keep alive in captivity, I would keep them in a safe place if I was you!

Corsa has a cut up stock muffler and one of theirs on exhibit at Carlisle every year. There is a substantual difference. The Corsas go straight thru and the stock ones look like one of those mazes a rat runs thru.

I hear you have to use a left-handed monkey wrench to get these out.
