Default Quick CL recall question

I read through the FAQ but seem to be getting conflicting messages. I just had the 4006c recall done on my 2001 MN6. The question is--is the cl motor still supposed to function when the key is turned on /off even though the lock plate is removed? My column does not lock, but the lock motor still cycles with ignition on/off--is this correct or not?
Thanks
Scott

Yes. If you have a CLB, it of course no longer functions because it is no longer connected

You still need a CLB, IMHO. Even though your column cannot lock, if the car "thinks" it is locked, you will not be able to drive it...

Can the clb simply be plugged in in place of the now installed harness "k"? I already have a clb on order just in case.

The CLB connects in place of the lock actuator.

You will likely be removing the POS harness "K" at some point.

Ask me how I know...
