If you are installing A&A Vortech, I believe the 3.8" pulley would be the one to use. I would ask Andy to be sure. I run 3.6" pulley on my 99 LS1 with AFR 205's, blower cam, LT's, and at 6600 rpm I see 8-9 psi. Possibly 9-10psi, it's hard to read a gauge while trying to drive & shift gears because the engine revs so quickly. Good Luck with your install. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
My S trim gives 10lbs with the 3.6 pulley at 6500 (stock internals with headers). I think you might want a 4.1 (I thin that is the size), in any case you would want the pulley that is just over 4 inch.
I have an '02 Z06 with Supermaxx long tubes and the A&A S-Trim kit. The pulley is 4" and it hits 7 psi right at 6400 rpm -- the 4" pulley was the one Andy recommended for a Z06 with a target of 525 rwhp or so with a safe tune, no meth. Just so you know, I also have the V2-SQ and it's VERY quiet... the guys at OC Corvette all said it was the quietest supercharger they've ever heard.
So, a 4" pulley should get you right at 7 psi with your setup.
what would be the safe psi for an all stock 2003 z06? 5-8,7-10,etc......
The general consensus seems to be something less than 550 rwhp, so that's why I went with the 4" pulley to get about 525 rwhp at 7 psi. As for the pulley, I don't know, since mine came with the A&A kit. I'd suggest calling ECS or A&A, or even Vortech.
