I lowered (factory bolts/nothing cut) my C5 a few weeks ago, but have not put that many miles on it since. Over the holiday weekend, I drove it about 200 miles to see my family. While visiting, I noticed a popping (maybe a clicking) sound from the right (sounds like to rear, but not 100% sure) suspension. This only occurred when I made a tight turn to the left.
I have searched to forum and others have mentioned greasing the half shaft, and others re-torquing bolts. Anyone experience this before, or suggestions that I could try? I would rather not chase this if I don't have to.
Many thanks in advance!
Michael

drive the car in a tight circle around some standing and see if you can isolate if it is front or rear and which side. They can walk by the side of the car.
Thanks for the advice. I am going grab the service manual and check all of the suspension torques tomorrow (My back hurts just thinking about it). If that does not do the trick, then its on to the differential fluid and finally greasing the hub splines.
I had the same issue for the longest time! Ended up putting a shot of lube on the sway bar bushing after retightening the bolts. Seemed that lube and torque goes hand in hand when adjusting the front end. Hopefully thats all it is, good luck!
I thought I had solved this problem by re-torquing all of the suspension bolts to factory specs, but it has returned. The sounds is more like a rubbing/scratching more than a click or popping. So... I guess I am on to the other items listed above. Hopefully I can get this one put to bed for good.
