Default Help me choose which shifter and Catback!!!

Well the mods are going to begin here shortly and the first thing I am thinking about doing is the shifter. I had a Pro 5.0 in my cobra and loved it. My friend had one in his 2001 T/A and that was awesome as well. So which is the better shifter and does it give you a better feel when driving???

Also which catback is best for sound and performance??? I have only heard one vette w/ exhaust and he had Borla and it sounded sweet.

Thanks Ben :seeya

I come from a background of a Cobra with a Pro 5.0 too. I have the B&M and really like it. I suggest a new shift **** too...I picked up a nice Momo.

As for exhaust, sorry to say, nothing makes the Vette sound as good as a Cobra. I have the Corsa Indys and love them. I've also heard the Borla XR-1s and really like them.

Do some purusing on the Forum Mall here...There are always good discounts for members and each month has good deals from several of the supporting vendors....and it's fun to shop for MODS  ;)

I agree, hit the Mall. The vendors are great and it's VERY hard to beat the prices. I've personally dealth with LAPD and Exit28 and have nothing but good things to say about both.

I also suggest you put a good air intake on that thing. I went with the Vortex.

Which Vortex pipe is the one to buy??? The TRIC system I saw was $729 and that was all Carbon Fiber w/ a filter.

I agree that the B&M is the way to go with the shifter. I also like the B&B PRT's as a replacement exhaust sytstem. They give a lower rumble at idle, scream at WOT and you don't get that motorboat sound that the Corsa's have. It makes the car sound like the muscle cars of old.

I have the clear Vortex, but the color of the air box is up to you. I got it from RG at Exit28 for $225, and also got the air bridge too. Very happy with it.

Ben-- I have a lot of the mods you're talking about--- I love the B&M, it's awesome. And, at least as far as forum members go, the Corsa Indy is far and away the most popular. I really like the way it sounds.
Let me know if you want to check them out...I love showing my car off to those that actually appreciate it  :flag
